Creating a Colorful and Organic Modern Outdoor Space

This post is sponsored by Safavieh

When we started building our home 3 years ago, having a screened in back porch was at the top of my must-haves. I am a mosquito magnet but I love to be outside so this was going to be a space I would spend a lot of time.

Between kids and a puppy this space became a sad and dingy pretty quickly. I had big plans for it after moving in and then fell pregnant with my daughter and suffered extreme sleep deprivation during her first year. So it was FINALLY time to give this outdoor space the makeover it deserved, and I deserved!

The first thing we did was clear off the porch and my husband gave it a much needed spray down with the pressure washer. We brought out our industrial fan and the whole thing dried pretty quickly.

Got the rug laid out, and then threw together the furniture fairly quickly.

I only had to attach the base of the seats to the backs and then the arms and legs were all 1 piece. Just needed the allen wrench that came with the furniture.

If you shop on Amazon I have everything linked for this porch refresh here.

I am genuinely impressed by the quality of this furniture. With three kids and a yellow lab we needed something sturdy and stain forgiving.

Shown here are:

Martinique Wood Patio Armchair x2 (comes with bottom and back cushions and 1 pillow)

Martinique Wood Patio Loveseat (comes with 2 bottom and 2 back cushions and 2 pillows)

(the loveseat is currently unavailable on Amazon but I've linked the sofa)

I added several more finishing items from Safavieh to complete the look of this space.

Francia Planter

Faux Multi Branch Fiddle Leaf Fig 72" Potted Tree

Celeste Indoor - Outdoor Modern Concrete Round H End Table

Trellen Set Of 2 Wood Decorative Bowl

Fraleigh Outdoor Lantern

and all of them are linked here

The furniture did come with pillows but I wanted to add a bit of color and purchased those and the little potted faux plant from Target.

I have a few more projects out here to do and will be adding them to this blog post as they are completed!
