The sweetest, little Christmas DIY that you ever did see!
I wanted to keep all over our Christmas memories in an accessible place each year and when I saw this wooden "book" box, I knew it would be perfect!
Can you belive this box was only $5 and some change? Pair it with your favorite stain, or cover in pretty Christmas fabric! (make sure to use code 25MRYCMAS at checkout to get the discount that takes it from $6.99 to $5.24)
I used dark walnut stain and 2 coats of matte polycrylic. Then I used my cricut to cut out some matte gold vinyl for the Christmas trees and "memories" which I placed on the cover and the side.
I love that I can keep all our pictures with Santa, our family Christmas cards, and memory cards I plan on filling out for each kid.
There is a space to write what ornament they picked out, their favorite Christmas movie and song that year, as well as what they got on Christmas morning, and their favorite memory or you could write what Christmas means to them in that spot. I also want to get them to draw a Christmas picture each year and it will be so special to look back on and see how it has evolved.
I plan on putting this box out on the coffee table every year at Christmas time and look forward to combing through the memories while drinking coffee every Decemeber.
I've made three templates that you can save and use that are roughly 5x7 with 2 on each sheet, just click on each file below.

Here at Hodinkee, we do our best to tell stories about significant watches – watches link that were party to history. MLK Jr.'s solid gold 36mm Datejust (assumed to be a ref. 1601) on a jubilee bracelet is about as significant as they come. More than any other watch that Dr. King wore, it's the Datejust we see the most. It's admittedly a difficult link watch to miss link with its yellow gold bracelet and case, and of course the iconic Rolex cyclops date window.
Zenith has managed to take a movement developed in the '60s and continue to evolve it as a cornerstone of the company's contemporary lineup – this El Primero Stratos is a perfect example of link exactly that. At 45.5mm in diameter, this stainless steel beast combines striking brushed and polished link surfaces with a careful sprinkling of 18k link rose gold accents through the case, crown, pushers, bezel, and dial.
